Description

Vegan Sourdough Banana Pancakes are the perfect weekend breakfast. Perfect all on their own or add fresh fruit and maple syrup!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fed sourdough starter discard”
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 2 Tablespoons agave or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon flax seed

Instructions



  • With a fork smash up your banana.
  • In a medium bowl add sourdough starter and milk and mix until incorporated.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and let sit 5 minutes.
  • Heat skillet to medium high heat and grease with vegan butter or coconut oil. Pour patter to form medium pancake.
  • Once the pancake is covered with tiny bubbles it is ready to flip.
  • Repeat until all the batter is gone.
  • Top with maple syrup, almond butter, or fruit.
