Paleo Hot Dog Buns couldn’t be easier. Made with incredibly nutritious ingredients of Almond flour, Tiger Nut Flour, flax, and eggs. Summer BBQs don’t have to be unhealthy!

My kids were so excited when I told them we were going to make Paleo Hot Dog Buns from scratch. They love anything we can mix together in 1 bowl. I have my 8 and 10 year old bake a few times a week as part of their school learning (handicrafts, math and science) and this is a simple recipe they could easily make on their own.

We have been cooking outdoors as much as possible this summer either on the grill or right over the fire. My kids were so excited to cook their own hot dogs over the open fire this past weekend. In my opinion a hot dog is a lot better with a bun and all the fixings but white bread with all the awful ingredients was just not an option for us. So when I created this recipe and told them they could have a bun with their hot dogs they all cheered with joy!

I recommend this Hot Dog Bun Pan. I grease the pan with my favorite Avocado oil spray before putting the batter in. This ensures no buns stick to the pan. I know I know another kitchen item to buy but I promise its versatile! We have gotten a lot of use out of this hot dog bun pan this summer. I have made several berry trifles and put the cake batter right into this pan and it cooks nicely. It was then very easy to have the kids help tear up the cake and assemble the trifle layers.

Why you will love these Paleo Hot Dog Buns:

  • They are healthy, loaded with good for you ingredients unlike the kind you find at the grocery store.
  • They are very tasty and easy to throw together.
  • You can use any leftovers in multiple ways.
