This is going to be an unpopular statement but the first few times I had matcha lattes I didn’t like them. Eeek I’m sorry, but I have to be honest with you all! It didn’t matter how much milk and honey I put in, still tasted like dirt to me. However, I’m really trying to cut back on coffee, and I love the benefits of matcha and green tea, so I kept at it. Tweaking the way I made it each time.
This Keto Matcha Latte is a game changer! I finally created a recipe I love. I don’t taste very much earthy/ dirt taste at all. The good fats in this recipe really cut that yucky flavor for me. This is a filling morning latte that takes me until lunch without feeling hunger or my blood sugar going all wacky.
My doctor is putting me on a Paleo elimination diet which means I must give up all caffeine for 6 weeks. I know my body with thank me but I am scared! Four kids and no caffeine! I will be let ting you know how I’m feeling and making recipes that are approved during that time. I am actually very excited to give up coffee completely or only have it for treats on special occasion. My plan right now is to switch to green tea and matcha completely. I love the immense health benefits of matcha!
What you need to make this recipe:
- Full-Fat Coconut Milk
- Filtered Water
- Organic Matcha Powder (this is my favorite and I’ve tried them all)
- MCT Oil
- Dates
- Artisana Raw Cashew Butter
- Vanilla – make sure it is highest grade with no alcohol

Ingredients
- ½ cup Full–Fat Coconut Milk
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon Matcha Powder (this is my favorite and I’ve tried them all)
- 1 tablespoon MCT Oil
- ½ of a pitted Date
- 1 teaspoon Artisana Raw Cashew Butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- In a saucepan add water, coconut milk, and vanilla. Heat until warm but not boiling.
- Transfer to a blender and add the rest of the ingredients. Blend well on medium speed.
- Transfer to your favorite mug and enjoy.
