Easy Paleo Pie Crust is Dairy and Grain Free! Your go to pie crust for quiches, dessert, and savory pies!
This Easy Paleo Pie Crust is so versatile. It’s my go to pie crust for all things sweet and savory and in between now. It is so easy to throw this together with the staples in my pantry. If I know I’m hosting brunch for the upcoming weekend I will make this ahead to save time and wrap it well and place in the refrigerator until I’m ready to use.
Some recipes will require you to bake this crust hallway; about 6 minutes, or fully which is about 15 minutes. Other recipes that use an unbaked pie shell will require you to bake after the filling goes in.
You can use a food processor for this recipe, but most of the time I just use a medium bowl, a fork and my hands to throw this together with minimal clean up. I hope you enjoy this easy paleo pie crust as much as I do!
My favorite recipes to use with this pie crust:
- Paleo Sausage and Broccoli Quiche with Sweet Potato Crust
- French Silk Pie
- Paleo Broccoli and Sausage Quiche
- Healthy Pecan Pie
Yes, wrap well and freeze for up to 1 month.
I would only recommend swapping out tapioca for arrowroot or potato starch. The other flours won’t substitute well in this recipe.
Yes, you can sub coconut oil for the palm shortening. You can also use grass fed butter if you don’t have an allergy to dairy.
