Best Paleo Burger Buns! Nutritious and simple buns for hamburgers, Italian beef, or breakfast sandwich.

paleo burger buns

My kids said these are the Best Paleo Burger Buns I have made. I have tested a few different recipes over the years and finally feel like this recipe is mastered. These buns have so much flavor. They are not too thick or too thin; these create the perfect ration when you lay a burger in the middle. Light, fluffy and slightly chewy with the texture of a pretzel bun.

Unlike white buns, these Paleo buns are nutrient dense. Every ingredient in these buns is good for you! They take minutes to put together. Brush these with an egg yolk finish to make these crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. This is a recipe you can feel good about making for your family, suddenly burger night is healthy and delicious! I love to make toast with these leftover buns the next morning.

Keep these in an airtight container for up to 3 days or put in the freezer.

What to make with these buns:

  • Toast them and top with bruschetta
  • Burgers, sloppy joes, or any sandwiches
  • Toast and top with almond butter and honey
  • Avocado toast
  • Dip in olive oil

What to serve with burgers:

  • Greek Salad with Vegan Feta Cheez
  • Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad
  • Grain Free Tabouli

Can I freeze these Paleo Burger buns?

Yes! Wrap them well and freeze for up to 4 months. Thaw on the counter until ready to use. I recommend toasting in a toaster oven after they are frozen.

Can these be made vegan?

Yes, sub the eggs for 2 flax eggs. There will be a slightly different texture, but the taste is still wonderful.

What if I’m allergic to almonds?

Tiger nut flour is a great alternative to almond flour, similar in texture and taste. The recipe won’t be the same but still will work and taste great.

Best burger buns I’ve ever had! Plus they can also be made into hot dog buns, pizza crust, and more.
