Chocolate Cherry Almond Smoothie is the perfect meal or snack to satisfy your sweet tooth with this healthy indulgence of cherries, cocoa, avocado, and banana, simply delicious!

This chocolate cherry almond smoothie is loaded with nutrients but tastes like a treat! I love the combination of chocolate and cherries it reminds me of a black forest cake. This recipe is loaded with healthy fats and protein to keep you full longer. I love to have this in the morning when I am craving chocolate and not feeling like my usual green smoothie.

I really enjoy having smoothies for breakfast because it’s sweet but healthy and I really enjoy something quick and nutritious without all the mess that way I can focus on the kids and getting our morning routine going.

What you need for this smoothie:

  • Frozen organic cherries
  • Avocado
  • Frozen banana
  • Raw almonds
  • Flax seeds
  • Cocoa powder
  • Collagen powder or plant based protein powder of choice
  • Almond milk or other non dairy milk

My kids love this smoothie, and they think it’s dessert but its super healthy so I feel good giving it to them. It’s not too sweet so if you want something sweeter just add 1-2 dates or 1 tablespoon maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup frozen organic cherries
  • ½ avocado
  • ½ frozen banana
  • 10 raw almonds
  • 1 teaspoon flax seed
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop collagen powder or plant based protein powder of choice
  • ½ cup almond milk or other non dairy milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 4 ice cubes

Instructions



  • Add all ingredients to your blender and blend on high speed until smooth.
  • Serve immediately.
